Complete Care Chiropractic

Where each body is treated as a whole and unique individual

About Us
We offer a friendly and positive approach to chiropractic care, empowering patients to take control of their overall health and wellness. Our focus is on the strong connection between physical well-being and mental beliefs, providing both manual therapy along with support in challenging your beliefs about your body.

Lucy recently decided to create her own clinic space since moving back to Nottingham, after previously working for the past 2 years in West London clinics. Seeing the impact chiropractic has had on her patient's health she gained the courage to bring a more personalised, integrative and mindful approach to chiropractic care uniting mental beliefs and physical treatment into a well-rounded holistic care plan.

Lucy believes in seeing each patient as an individual and looking at you as a whole. The practice is rooted in the belief that the body and mind are interconnected, and effective chiropractic care should reflect that. We specialise in treating a vast range of conditions and pain, from back and neck pain, stress-related tension, knee and shoulder complaints and much more. While using manual therapy as the main component we also believe in providing support for your mental well-being aiming to inspire a positive mindset and embrace your body’s strength, helping you understand its innate ability to heal while guiding you towards a healthier lifestyle.
Dr Lucy Hogan (MChiro DC LRCC)
My chiropractic journey began when I was young and witnessed the healing effects after my mum suffered severe whiplash; no other healthcare professional had been able to provide the relief she needed - until she found chiropractic. Inspired, I began seeing a chiropractor myself to manage the chronic pain I experienced as a teenager from hypermobility and the stresses of daily life. Experiencing the same relief and transformation firsthand I chose to go on to study for my Master’s Degree from the University of South Wales.

Outside of caring for patients, I enjoy taking care of my own health, learning more about holistic healing while also staying active with weight training and walking. As an adrenaline junkie, I am always ready to get involved with whatever activity might come my way including sky-diving, regularly skiing and recently reminding myself what it is like to get back on a horse. I love to cook and bake and feed the ones I love as well as staying social seeing friends that live all over the country and exploring new cities. When I get the chance I love to travel and see the world, and recently explored Australia for 3 months.

Chiropractic care is suited to most people and can be highly adaptable to cater to your specific needs. The initial consultation includes a detailed case history and a thorough physical examination. This will help the chiropractor determine a working diagnosis for your condition and assess whether they can provide a suitable course of treatment. If you're unsure whether chiropractic treatment can help with your condition, you may wish to contact us to speak with a chiropractor and find out more.
Often, chiropractic treatments focus on the spine, as it is central to your body and the most common source of pain. However, we are concerned with the entire musculoskeletal system—the framework of bones and soft tissues in the body—treating a variety of conditions. Some conditions we may treat include tennis elbow, shoulder rotator cuff injuries, plantar fasciitis, headaches, and joint pain from osteoarthritis, such as in the hip or knee, and much more.
Each patient and condition responds differently to treatment, and the timeline can vary. Chiropractic care is not a "quick click and everything is fixed"; while you should feel some relief after each session, it’s a gradual process like building blocks. Over time, relief builds and lasts longer, at which point appointments will become less frequent. If you're following the recommended care plan and have seen no progress after the first few sessions, your chiropractor will reassess and adapt the treatment as needed.
At the start of care, the chiropractor will discuss the improvements they aim to achieve and provide an estimated timeline. Your progress will be evaluated at every appointment. If the expected improvements do not occur, the chiropractor will reassess your condition to determine whether to adjust the treatment plan or refer you to another healthcare professional for further evaluation or care that may be better suited to your needs.
Chiropractic treatment can vary with each patient and each chiropractor's specific style. Most commonly, treatment will involve manipulations or "adjustments," which involve precise handling and movement of joints or parts of the spine. This is when you may hear clicking or popping noises. This occurs as two surfaces of a joint move quickly, causing a change in pressure within the joint space that sometimes creates a bubble of gas to ‘pop.’ However, this sound is not significant and does not cause pain.
The chiropractor may also use a tool called an activator, which makes a loud clicking noise. The activator is a handheld, spring-loaded device that delivers a fast, precise impulse to the joint, producing a similar effect to manual manipulations. These manipulations are often combined with other manual therapies, such as joint mobilisation and soft tissue therapy. Soft tissue work may vary but can include massage guns, traditional massage, and sometimes dry needling using acupuncture needles. The chiropractor may also offer advice on exercise or rehabilitation, diet, lifestyle, and mental attitudes.
Generally, chiropractic care is painless unless an area is swollen or sensitive due to your condition. Your chiropractor will tailor the treatment to your needs, using only techniques and pressure that are comfortable for you. They will regularly check in throughout the session to ensure you remain at ease. After treatment, some patients may experience mild post-treatment soreness, which is normal and similar to the muscle ache you may feel after a workout. This temporary soreness is usually a result of the body adjusting to unfamiliar movements from the session.
We do not routinely x-ray every patient. Your chiropractor will determine whether imaging is necessary for your treatment and will discuss this with you, referring you to the appropriate specialist if needed. Unfortunately, some patients believe they are receiving better care if they have x-rays. However, practitioners who routinely x-ray every patient are not working within current evidence and national guidelines.

An excellent chiropractic clinic, Lucy is extremely knowledgeable and explains everything through the adjustment. She provides comprehensive and thorough treatment. 10/10 service and client care

Kayla Campbell
Satisfied patient

Lucy is an incredible chiropractor and holistic with massage, stretching, exercises and laughs to go along with it; she managed to fix my injured shoulder and constant back aches. I would recommend Lucy to anyone who wants a modern approach and a friendly vibe. And if Lucy wanted to do travelling practice (back to London) we would all cheer.

Megan Brooks
Past clinic patient

I have been a client of Lucy's for about a month now and during this short time, she has really helped me in managing any aches and pains that I may have, mainly ones I have in my lower back. As a practitioner of martial arts for 15 years, Lucy has taken away much of the tension that has built up within my body during that time and I believe continuing to see her will improve that further. Lucy gives you little goals to aim for, which really helps maintain that desire for improvement and she gives you the tools to take away and achieve that goal that you set for yourself. Lucy is a conscientious professional who cares deeply about both the physical and mental well-being of her clients and it shows in her approach to each individual.
